Before you build

## A few useful answers.

The docs give the complete operation and billing rules.

### What data can I get?

Public profiles, posts, media and other documented objects. Coverage and response fields differ by platform and operation.

[Check the API reference](https://monsterapi.co/docs/api)

### Do new accounts include free credits?

No. New accounts start with zero credits. You can add top-up credits or choose a monthly plan.

### When is a request billed?

A request is billed when the platform returns a 2xx or 4xx response. Empty results can still be billed. Gateway refusals and 5xx responses are not billed.

Each page costs a separate request. If you close the connection after the gateway accepted it, the request is still billed.

[Read the billing rules](https://monsterapi.co/docs/pricing)

### Does MonsterAPI retry my request?

No. A request makes at most one call to the platform. Nothing is retried on your behalf.
